The Language Center is located at Mazatlán, one of Mexico's most popular beach resorts. Participants can choose an intensive Spanish program (total immersion) or fewer hours of Spanish classes per day. Most participants choose homestays with Mexican families, but the Center also arranges hotel, apartment and condo accommodations. Specialized Spanish courses in business and medical Spanish are available. The participants are adults from around the world and include university students studying Spanish for credit, professionals preparing to do business in Latin America, and retirees who are planning to travel or retire in Mexico or Latin America.

You'll find up-to-date travel information on our site for the convenience of our own participants as well as other travelers who need current information on travel conditions in Mexico. This page also includes general information on Mexican culture, art, history and current events. There is a list of links to maps of Mexico and sites with information on weather conditions.

The information on Mazatlán includes our map for a walking tour of "Old Mazatlán" and links to the Official Calendar of Events. Also included is information on optional leisure activities such as ecotourism excursions, boat trips along the coast, tours to nearby mountain villages, tennis, golf, fishing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling and surfing.
